It is in all respects an art<\/b> that, from generation to generation, is handed down with passion and commitment. The artistic creativity that emerges from embroidery has existed since ancient times and has travelled through the centuries adapting to innovations. First used only to sew costly clothes for the wealthier social classes, now, instead, it has come to be worn all days, both at work (on work uniforms) and during free time (for example, on simple t-shirts).<\/p>

Embroidery: timeless refinement<\/h2>

The history of embroidery is very ancient. It is assumed that everything was born in the East<\/strong>, the crucial centre of cloths and fabrics’ trade. The oldest artefacts that have come down to the present day come from ancient Egypt.
In our country, embroidery techniques began to develop in Sicily<\/strong> around the year 1000 as an expression of the Saracen culture. The word \u201cembroidery\u201d derives from the Arabic “raqm” which means sign\/design and it is in the city of Florence that the first textile workshops are born.
From Sicily and Spain, the art of embroidery has spread more and more to extend to the whole European continent.
The real innovation took place subsequently in England and Switzerland in 1800 with the Industrial Revolution<\/strong> and the inventions of the first embroidery machines.
Today, technology evolves very fast, adding computers to traditional embroidery machines: through an embroidery file, it transmits to the machine what it needs to embroider.<\/p>

The yarns of our embroideries<\/span><\/h2>

Embroidery is a popular technique in professional clothing as it allows you to give an additional elegant style and a sense of craftsmanship to work uniforms, customizing them with logos and designs in a short time.
A well-executed embroidery can last over time, sometimes more than the garment itself. For this reason, the details, the shine and the colour of an embroidery remain unchanged, even after aggressive washes.<\/p>

How do they remain unchanged over time? Obviously thanks to the quality of raw materials. The yarns that Bolzonella Divise uses to<\/strong> embroider are of high quality because we know how important it is to have a product that does not deteriorate over time due to wear and washing at high temperatures.
The yarns we use are mainly three:<\/p>

1 – Polyester and ceramic<\/strong> yarn: the peculiarity of this yarn is its matte effect that gives a refined look and intense colours. It is the ideal yarn for captivating and stylish motifs, washable up to 60 \u00b0 C and suitable for drying and bleaching cycles, therefore excellent for workwear;<\/p>

2 – 100% viscose<\/strong> yarn: viscose is a material of natural origin: soft, delicate on the skin and pleasant to the touch, but also resistant to washing up to 95\u00b0 C. The elements embroidered with viscose yarn have vivid, bright colours and a shine that recalls that of silk;<\/p>

3 – 100% polyester<\/strong> yarn: a shiny yarn that resists sunlight, rubbing and chemicals. It is made up of single long fibers that offer greater shine, softness and strength.<\/p>

All Bolzonella Divise yarns are Oeko-tex\u00ae Standard 100 certified<\/strong>, therefore completely free of toxic substances for human health.<\/p>

What types of embroidery can be created?<\/h2>

Embroidery is a very versatile art because it allows you to play with colour, the type of yarn and the thickness of the decoration.
The choice of embroidery colours<\/strong> is based on the palette that characterizes the company. Choosing between one colour or more colours changes the effect of the result: a single colour is elegant and sober, more colours instead make your uniform more lively.<\/p>

Among the most requested subjects to embroider we undoubtedly find the name of the work uniform wearer and<\/strong> the company logo<\/strong>. The quality of the embroidery is monitored by our \u201cpuncher\u201d staff: the needle stitch sequence of the embroiderer is communicated by the \u201cembroidery program\u201d, which is previously obtained from the graphic file of the company logo.
The embroidered elements can be made using three different techniques: direct embroidery, three-dimensional embroidery and the embroidered shield.<\/p>

Direct embroidery is<\/strong> the most traditional technique and is made possible by the embroidery machine that \u201cspins\u201d the logo thanks to a dense frequency of stitches made with coloured yarns. With three-dimensional<\/strong> (or relief) embroidery, on the other hand, the logo acquires volume thanks to the overlapping of several embroidery layers and if you want to accentuate the rise it is possible to insert inside the rubber thus providing additional support.
Finally, the embroidered shield<\/strong> is embroidery with a shaped fabric on the bottom. Its peculiarity is that the bottom shape is made by creating a layer of yarn directly on the garment; thus making it unnecessary to apply the scudetto afterwards.<\/p>
